Layreaders or Lectors read the appointed lessons (from the Old and New Testaments) and lead the Prayers of the People during worship services. No specific skill is required to be a layreader, just a willingness to read clearly and audibly in the presence of the congregation.
Nancy Fischer coordinates scheduling for the 10:30 a.m. Service and David Gregory coordinates layreaders for the 8 a.m. Service in St. Clement's Chapel. Contact them if you are interested in becoming a layreader.
