Volunteers from Advent join with other Tallahassee Episcopal churches to build a home. Building and construc­tion experience are not necessary. Organizing and serving food, scheduling volunteers, and promoting the build are other volunteer opportunities.

In 2007, Advent hosted participants of the Big Bend Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge 2007. Advent Church served as the “home base” for students from Grand Valley State University, Winona State University, Rutgers, Purdue, Case Western, and the University of Vermont who came to participate in the build over their Spring Break. Advent’s Parish Hall was converted into a “college dorm” for them, and they were treated to meals and lots of support during their stay.
