The purpose of Foyers gatherings is for members of Advent to get to know each other as a part of the larger community within the Church. Each Foyers group consists of six to ten adults selected at random from the pool of those who have expressed an interest in joining. People of any age are welcome, whether single, widowed, divorced, married, and whether active --or not so active -- in the Church. Cycles run for six months and start in April and October. Foyers meet together in each other's homes, where members take turns hosting two hours of Christian fellowship over a simple meal. There are no agendas, no programs, and no assigned topics of conversation. Watch for the sign-up sheet or call Sarah Rumph to be added to a group.
Foyers Dinner on Sunday, May 1, at the Sartin's home.
The Litany for Reconciliation we use during our Foyers' Group Meetings is the one used at Coventry Cathedral each week. Please use the link above to print out a copy for your group to use.
