Episcopal Church Women (ECW) will hold it’s next meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday February 21st at the home of Janis Sell. For questions, speak with ECW President Amy Serles or contact Janis.

The ECW is planning to publish an Advent ECW Cookbook as a future fundraiser. We’ve been gathering recipes from many of Advent’s great cooks and look forward to getting more. Along with your recipes we ask that you bring your favorite cookbook to the meeting. We will compare the pros and cons of each and discuss different formatting options for our own cookbook. This is the initial planning stage. Your input now will help insure a better quality finished product that is user friendly and as a result will raise more funds in the long run.

Last, be sure to invite a friend to come with you, whether a current member of our church or a friend you know through some other area of your life. Studies show that nothing helps a woman’s physical, spiritual and mental health more than a good friend to share it all with and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Be that friend to someone else by inviting her to ECW!

Almighty God, we pray that You will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world.

Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love given through your son Jesus Christ.

Let us not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world. Amen.
